The Godchild is the dessert variation of the Godmother, adding heavy cream to the base of vodka and amaretto. The cream softens the almond liqueur's sugar and the vodka's bite, creating a texture similar to a melted milkshake. It is lighter than a White Russian (lacking the coffee roast) but richer than the standard two-ingredient digestifs. It serves as a comforting, velvety nightcap that highlights the marzipan notes of the amaretto.
