The Tipperary layers soft, grain-forward Irish whiskey with sweet vermouth and green Chartreuse for a rich, aromatic stirred cocktail. Chartreuse brings alpine herbs, honey, and spice that wrap around the whiskey’s cereal notes. When stirred cold, the drink turns silky and concentrated, with a lingering herbal finish. It sits in the same family as the Manhattan but trades rye bite for rounded Irish malt and complex liqueur structure.

Did you know?

Chartreuse’s closely guarded monastic recipe and periodic supply shortages have made drinks like the Tipperary cult favorites; many bars quietly ration Chartreuse cocktails or rotate them on and off menus when stocks run low.
