The Cosmopolitan blends citrus vodka, lime, cranberry, and orange liqueur into a pale pink sour with controlled tartness. Fresh lime and unsweetened cranberry keep the drink bright. Orange zest adds a sharp aromatic layer. Toby Cecchini refined the now-standard spec at the Odeon in the late 1980s, a history recorded in Imbibe and PunchDrink.
