The Jack Rose mixes apple brandy, lemon or lime, and real grenadine into a tart, vivid sour with orchard fruit depth. Its balance hinges on fresh citrus and authentic pomegranate grenadine rather than syrupy substitutes. Shaken cold, it pours a rosy hue with crisp acidity and soft tannic notes from the brandy. The drink became emblematic of early twentieth‑century American bars.
