Birthday Cake Shot
Cake vodka and white chocolate liqueur with a frosting-and-sprinkle rim.
The Birthday Cake Shot is the party pour that tastes like yellow cake and buttercream. Cake vodka and white chocolate liqueur are shaken cold, then strained into a shot glass with a thin vanilla-frosting rim rolled in rainbow sprinkles. It is sweet on purpose. Vanilla vodka stands in when cake vodka is not on the shelf. Keep the frosting as a rim, not a filling.

Ingredients
- • 1 oz cake vodka
- • 0.5 oz white chocolate liqueur
- • vanilla frosting for the rim
- • rainbow sprinkles for garnish
Did you know?
“Frosting-rimmed cake shots showed up on American party menus in the 2010s, once grocery cake vodkas made a yellow-cake shot possible without a homemade syrup.”
Bartender's Note
Use twice as much cake vodka as white chocolate liqueur. Even amounts let the liqueur bury the cake flavor. Vanilla vodka is the substitute for cake vodka. Godiva White Chocolate is the intended bottle and it is very sweet, so do not increase it. A thin smear of canned vanilla frosting is enough. Serve immediately so the frosting stays put.
