The Flying Kangaroo is a sophisticated tiki-disco hybrid that splits the base between vodka and rum, then modifies with Galliano's herbal vanilla notes. Pineapple, orange, and coconut cream create a Colada-like texture, but the Galliano and vodka give it a lighter, more botanical finish than a standard Piña Colada. It is a rare example of a modern German classic that gained global recognition. The drink is blended or shaken hard to achieve a frothy, milkshake consistency.
