The Income Tax is essentially a Bronx cocktail (Gin, Sweet & Dry Vermouth, Orange Juice) with the addition of Angostura bitters. The bitters dry out the orange juice and add a spicy depth that makes the drink feel more 'adult' and less like a breakfast beverage. It is a forgotten classic that offers a balanced, low-ABV option with a cynical name.
