Pumpkin Pie Espresso Martini
An espresso martini built with pumpkin pie liqueur — coffee first, pie second.
The Pumpkin Pie Espresso Martini keeps Dick Bradsell’s coffee-vodka frame and swaps homemade pumpkin syrup for a grocery pumpkin pie liqueur. Mr. Stacks is the bottle this is written for. Fresh espresso still leads; the liqueur adds pumpkin-pie spice and sweetness without a cream float. Shaken hard and served up, it is the fall espresso martini you can actually make from a liquor-store bottle.

Ingredients
- • 1.5 oz vodka
- • 1 oz fresh espresso
- • 0.5 oz coffee liqueur
- • 0.75 oz pumpkin pie liqueur
Did you know?
“Once the espresso martini returned in the 2010s, autumn menus started grafting pumpkin onto the template. Grocery pumpkin pie liqueurs made the riff possible without a homemade syrup.”
Bartender's Note
Use hot fresh espresso so the crema forms. Mr. Stacks pumpkin pie liqueur is the intended bottle; any pumpkin pie liqueur works. Keep it to three-quarters of an ounce — more turns the drink into dessert. Kavanaugh pumpkin pie Irish cream can stand in if you want it creamier; expect a paler foam and skip extra cream.
