Pumpkin Cider Punch is hosting math: bourbon, apple cider, lemon, and pumpkin spice syrup lengthened with ginger ale. Cider does the orchard work; pumpkin spice is a seasoning, not a puree dump. Served from a pitcher over ice, it scales for a football Saturday or a Friendsgiving table.

Bartender's Note
Add ginger ale only at service. The recipe below is about six cups; double it in a pitcher. Dark rum can stand in for half the bourbon.
